SITUATION

Blast PR is the agency of record for Mood Media (TSX:MM), the global leader in elevating Customer Experiences, working to further establish the company as the only holistic solutions provider using sight, sound, scent, social mobile technology and systems to create greater emotional connections between brands and consumers. When Mood Media began working with Blast in Q2 of 2016, they wanted to generate greater awareness and share of voice across top-tier ad trade and business press, as well as key vertical publications (Hospitality, Restaurant, Retail, etc.) reaching their target audiences. In addition, Mood wanted to raise awareness of its brand as an innovator in the space, as well as build and/or deepen relationships between key reporters at these publications and Mood Media spokespeople.

SOLUTION

To help Mood achieve these goals right out of the gate, the Blast team developed a strategic plan leveraging company news, expert insights and press meet-and-greets to build awareness as well as to showcase innovation and thought leadership in the space. Using a mix of news, point-of-view and feature pitches, Blast worked to secure Mood coverage in its target publications and two days of interviews for key executives by managing outbound and inbound media interactions and preparing all spokespersons for the listing day press interviews.
